  Answer: Your filter helps prevent the migration of mold, algae and bacteria.  Be sure to use only genuine Honeywell Replacement Filters which are Protec® antimicrobially treated.  

• Question: How do I use the filter?

  Answer: Please reference your humidifiers Owner’s Manual for specific instructions on how to install your filter. 

• Question: When do I replace the filter?

  Answer:

  It is recommended you change your Wicking Filter every 30-60 days depending on water quality and usage.  If you have hard water, you may need to replace your Filter more frequently.  Change your Filter if you notice: 
  - The Filter is hard and crusty 
  - The Filter starts to give off an odor 
  - Moisture output is decreased
