Humidifier Types (Technologies)
Filtered Cool Moisture Humidifiers (Evaporative)
Cool, filtered invisible moisture
A fan blows moisture off a saturated wicking filter helping it evaporate into the air more quickly. The moisture output is invisible, since the water is evaporating off the filter. It is not possible to over-humidify because the air will not absorb any more moisture than it can hold. This type of humidifier requires a replaceable wicking filter to operate. The filter also captures minerals from the water, helping to prevent white dust in hard water areas.
