Q: What should I do if my new unit is missing parts?
A:

If there are any parts missing from the new unit contact the KAZ company.

Q: I feel like my unit is no longer cleaning the air as well as it used to.
A:

If you have had the air cleaner for a while and it doesn't seem to be performing like it used to you should make sure you have replacing the filters on time, and may want to try a new HEPA filter.

Q: I have had the unit on for a couple weeks and notice some dark spots on my wall. What is this?
A:

Any dark spots on the wall or surrounding furniture result from the constant quick-paced rush of dirt and dust particles to the unit. We do recommend leaving the air cleaner with a 3 foot clearance all around it to prevent this from happening.

Q: How long should I run my air cleaner?
A:

For best results, we do recommend running the air cleaner 24 hours a day to get a clean, constant source of air circulating the room.

Q: How do I clean my filters?
A:

Unfortunately the pre-filter and the original HEPA filter cannot be cleaned. The prefilter needs to be changed every 1 to 3 months, and the HEPA filter needs to be changed every 1 to 3 years. If the unit is equipped with a lifetime HEPA filter (white mesh around outside) than it can be vacuumed off every 3 months or so.

Q: I just cleaned my filter, but the filter indicator is still showing it is dirty. What's wrong?

With the unit running, press and hold the filter reset button for up to 10 seconds and when you let go, the filter clean monitor should be reset.

Q: Is my Air Purifier considered an ozone generator
A:

No! Ozone generators produce large amounts of ozone as the primary way to clean the air. The EPA does not endorse these products because they can cause ozone related health problems. The air purifier does not use ozone as the primary method to clean the air. It cleans the air by using ifD® technology (Intense Field Dielectric) which only generates trace amounts of ozone, substantially below the limits established by the EPA and FDA.

HHT-090

Q: What information do you have about the Ozone this unit emits?
A:

This unit, as well as all other IFD or Ionizer units, was not tested specifically for how much ozone is emitted, but it was tested to make sure it is WELL within the government limit of 50 parts per billion. (In all of the studies/articles released about Ozone worries, our units were never mentioned as being dangerous)

Q: I've been running my humidifier and it is using up water, but the humidity level in my home is not rising.
A:

When a humidifier is used infrequently, in very dry places or for the first time in a season, it can take quite a while for the humidity level in the room/space to rise. The reason for this is that everything in the room (walls, furniture, floors, etc) is dried out and will suck up any moisture that is in the air. Only once these things are saturated will the humidity level start to rise in the air. If you have dry heat or can't get the level to rise, it is best to let the unit run constantly on a high setting, until the moisture starts to build up. If the unit is only run sometimes, each time you turn it on it will have to work to saturate the walls and furniture again, before humidifying the room.

Q: Every time I put the cap on my tank it keeps leaking, no matter how tight I screw it
A:

Because of the size of the cap and the threading, it is common to get it cross-threaded, which would cause leaking.

Q: Only one of my tanks is draining and I have to move the tanks around for the other one to start draining
A:

There are only 2 common things that would cause this to happen. First, make sure when the tanks are placed onto the base that they are sitting flush and one is not sitting or leaking on or against the other. Secondly, when the cap is screwed onto the tank, make sure it is not being screwed on too tight.

Heaters

HZ-3750BP

Q: What is the heating technology of this heater?
A:

This heater is a ceramic heater where air is warmed as it passes over large ceramic and aluminum heating elements and is fanned directionally into the room providing quick, powerful heat.

Q: How can I tell what size room my heater is good for?
A:

Heaters are not made for specific room sizes but this model has an Oscillation Feature to help evenly output warm air for optimal small room comfort or for personal heating.

Q: My heater was working fine and then stopped working, what should I do?
A:

Because heaters are running at such high wattage, inconsistencies in power could trip an internal breaker. Try unplugging the heater and leave it unplugged for about 20 minutes. This should reset the heater. If the issue continues to happen, you may want to try using the heater on a different outlet that you are sure is on a different circuit in your home, to see if the problem still exists. If this does not solve the problem, please call or email consumer relations.

Q: Can I use my heater in a bathroom?
A:

No, our heaters are not designed for use in a bathroom or other humid areas, such as a laundry room or an open porch. Not only is there a risk of electrocution in moist environments, but damp locations, especially bathrooms, create a situation where moisture can collect on the heating element. Over time this moisture can cause serious damage to the element and the heater. Using this heater in a bathroom will void the warranty.

Q: Where can I recycle this product?

Q: Where can I get parts for my heater?

There are no consumer serviceable parts available for this model. If you are experiencing difficulties or feel something needs replacing, please call or email consumer relations with your model number, description of the issue and the date purchased.

Q: How do I save money using my portable heater?
A:

There are two ways to be more economical in using this portable heater. Choose the lower heat setting which will draw 750 watts instead of drawing double the power at 1500 watts on high. You can also save money by using this heater as zonal heating. That means don?t heat your whole house, turn down your central thermostat and operate this portable heater in just the room you use most often.

A:

The wall unit is gauged to read the whole room, while the unit is only gauged to read the air that passes through the unit. As you run the heater for a longer time, and it heats up the room, you will notice that this difference will become very minimal.

Q: Why is the cord on my heater getting hot?
A:

Most heaters operate around 1500 watts. This amount of electricity may cause your cord to become warm -- this is normal. You should be able to put your hand around the cord and feel that it is warm to the touch, but it should not be too hot to handle. If the cord is so hot that it is hard to hold in your hand, then there may be a problem with the outlet to which the heater is connected. As stated in our owner?s manual, a loose fit in the outlet may also cause the plug to overheat. If your cord becomes too hot to touch, discontinue use immediately and contact a qualified electrician to inspect the outlet before any further use.
