Cool mist humidifiers are filter free and produce a visible cool mist using ultrasonic technology. 

The nebulizer, which is a round disc found in the base of the unit, vibrates at ultrasonic speed to create mist. Over time, minerals from your water may collect on the nebulizer causing it to slow to a pace that is not enough to create mist. Periodic cleaning of the nebulizer will help it perform at its best.

Cool moisture humidifiers require a wicking filter and produce an invisible cool moisture using evaporative technology. 

Cool moisture humidifiers have a fan that blows moisture off a saturated wicking filter, helping it evaporate into the air more quickly, while also capturing minerals to help reduce white dust and prevent over humidification.

It is important to replace the wicking filter every 30-60 days, depending on water quality and usage, as well as clean your humidifier.

Warm mist humidifiers are filter free and produce a visible warm mist. Once filled, water enters a boiling chamber where it is heated to a steam vapor, producing warm mist to help create a comfortable breathing environment.

It is important to keep the heating element clean in these humidifiers. When minerals build up on the heating element it may cause it to overheat and shut off.

Dual mist humidifiers produce both cool and warm mist using Fusion Mist Technology which boils water and fuses it with cool mist to generate the ideal warm mist temperature.
