Honeywell QuietSet® 16" Stand Fan (HS1650)
Question: How Do I Set Up The Assembly Poles?
Answer:
Base Assembly:
Place base on a flat surface.
Fit bottom of Metal Fan Pole into circular recess in fan base.
Securing the Fan Pole to the Base:
Align 3 screw holes at the base of Metal Fan Pole with the 3 holes at the base.
Secure the Metal Fan Pole to the base by inserting and tightening the 3 screws in the 3 holes on the bottom of the base.
Slide the Pole Base Cover into place in the base and turn counterclockwise (tightening by turning to the Left) until it snaps securely into place.
Securing the Upper portion to the fan pole & assembling fan:
Place the Motor Assembly (C) onto the Metal Pole Extension and secure it by turning the Assembly Knob clockwise (by turning to the Right).
NOTE: If turning the assembly knob clockwise (by turning to the Right) does not secure the motor assembly to the metal pole extension, turn the Assembly Knob counterclockwise (by turning to the Left) until the metal pole extension can slide further into the Motor Assembly. Then, turn the assembly knob clockwise (by turning to the Right) to secure it to the metal pole extension.
Circular Rear Grille Mounting Nut will come attached to the Motor Assembly. Remove it by turning counterclockwise (by turning to the Left). You will re-attach the Rear Grill Mounting Nut later
Place the Rear Grille onto the Motor Housing, making sure the 2 holes in the center of the Rear Grille fit over the 2 raised knobs on the Motor Housing. Now place the Rear Grille Mounting Nut onto the center of the fan and tighten by turning it clockwise (by turning to the Right).
Align hole in center of Fan Blade with the screw extending from the Motor Assembly. Make sure that the 2 slots on the back of the Fan Blade align with the bars extending from the shaft surrounding the screw attached to the Motor Assembly. Then push the Fan Blade into place. Now push the Blade Knob on the center of the fan and tighten by turning the Blade Knob counterclockwise (by turning to the Left).
Properly align the Front Grille with the Rear Grille. To secure the Front Grille onto the fan, raise the built-in clips around the Front Grille, and fasten these clips onto the Rear Grille
Question: Where Is The Best Location In The Room To Put My Fan?
Answer:
The best location in the room to place your fan is based on where and how you want cooling relief. However, please read the Important Safety Instructions located in the beginning of each Owner’s Manual for further information on proper usage and placement.
For Year-Round Air Circulation
In the summer: Circulate cool air by using with window or central air conditioning. Circulate cool air upstairs. In the winter: Use with other heat sources, such as wood stoves, baseboard heaters, and or vents to help circulate the warm air throughout the room. Position your air circulator in an open location for upward air movement. Run it on a low setting to move the hotter air from the ceiling and circulate the warmer air throughout the room.
